Parijat
Parijat (Bishnu Kumari Waiba, 1937–1993) wrote from her bed in Kathmandu for most of her life. Shirish Ko Phool won the Madan Puraskar in 1965 and is still the Nepali novel most often pressed into a new reader's hands.
